Here's a wide open question from a novice: How do you motivate the
unmotivated? I have art with grades 5, 7 and 8. The kids that don't
consider themselves artistic are doing well and exploring and being
adventurous. The kids that consider themselves 'artistic' are not. They
want to draw what they want to draw from their imagination. they are
very smart, very creative and very vocal about their objections to my
latest assignment. I also have three kids who refuse to believe that
they can create anything 'because they aren't artist' or 'my thing is
... not art' and they'll sit there and do nothing rather than try.
Thats 7 unhappy kids out of 24. Any suggestions?
