I am doing a project on coloring books and child psychology, and I was wondering if you could think of any on-line resources for me. I happen to be in favor of coloring books, having used them as a child. I find that they help your sense of how colors can go together, without having to worry about what you're actually drawing. I don't think I would have as good of an intuituve sense of color if I had not been able to use coloring books. I also do free-form drawings, but I think coloring books are essential in their own way. So sure, give your kids a sketchbook- it's a great idea.... but don't ban coloring books because you think they're uncreative. Your child might get something from them.
