I too struggle with the "bad stuff" and let it overpower me. I usually have
many warm, sweet, moments with students, and genuine compliments and
appreciation from parents during the day, but somehow just one negative or
insane parent interaction can overpower the dozens of positive experiences.
Maybe those of us struggling with this need a special tool that will deflect
the bad stuff, and help us to absorb the good stuff a little deeper.
I thought someone's idea of journaling was very smart...maybe a "good stuff"
journal, or box ( many of us K-8ers recieve art specially made for us
throughout the day, I'm sure.)to go to when we feel that "bad stuff " trying
to take hold.
