Often parents who are distrustful of teachers have had rotten school
experiences themselves and their perceptions are colored by this.
Obviously you are a great teacher. I've read all that you've written on
the list and can tell from that. Be patient and non defensive with them.
Listen but don't waste too much time on them.

Paoli Soleri's home is abour a mile from me in Scottsdale Arizona. It is
constructed similarly to Arcosonti and has a forge next to it. Visitors
are welcome and can purchase bells of all sizes. The revenue from these
sales help finance Arconsanti. He has a two story bell in the stairwell
entry of Sax Fifth Avenue near here. He has designed a bridge with bell
that will be constructed in town. I can't wait to see it. If you ever
visit here, go to his home. They pour the bronze bells almost daily. You
can also see them being poured at Arcosanti.

One ecology art project done here was debris was dredged from the canals
and placed in a pile. Teams of high school art students made sculptures
from the junk. There was a time limit and a judging at the end. All of
the work was displayed. They were creative and humourous and beautiful.
