curmudgeons

hello all of you new faces:
As you have discovered there are some curmudgeons in our midst here in
artsednet. Of course anyone doing computer work at 6:30AM might be a tad
grumpy. Just for a test I scanned through all the intros (after saving
them- there might be a mentee out there searching for wisdom) I pushed
contrl and clicked each line on my in box and trashed the lot in one fell
swoop--------------total elapsed time 30 seconds- it takes me twice that
long to decide on the color of socks I will wear today! So much for wasted
time.
I have also noticed that most of the teachers using the computers in
their off time at school are writing email to their kids in college to save
on the phone bill.
I am glad to see new faces- that means new ideas- not just the rehash of
the same theories and philosophies over and over.
No ONE owns, controls , or has the authority to arbitrate what is
appropriate material for this group. Propriety should dictate only the
constraints of common sense, decency, and strict non-commercialism. Perhaps
the regard for others feelings should be of SOME consideration.
Yes Virginia, there is.....
Yours in tolerence
Brian Foster
