Hi Jennifer and Chad,

Sue Coe's painting "Love in the age of Ray-gun" is a well known image of
rape. Ohio State had an exhibition on rape about 10 years ago; a catalog
was printed that accompanied it. Arlene Raven wrote the leading essay,
which is re-published in one of her books (_Crossing Over: Feminism and Art
of Social Concern_). Ana Mendieta also did an early performance about rape
that is well remembered. On domestic violence, you should start with Ida
Applebroog's work, which is well known. There are others.
