I am opening a visual arts studio for kids in our community. I need many
things such as teachers, supplies, materials and ideas.

I have subscribed to artsednet for a few months now and love reading the mail
and have learned so much.

So far my plan is as follows:
I will start with a space approximately 1500 square feet without t-bar
ceilings. I am painting the ceiling flat white and placing indirect lighting
throughout.

In our studio, the kids will learn and practice drawing, charcoals, water
colors, acrylic, oil, clay and ceramic sculpturing, etc. The members will
receive a monthly schedule early so that they may choose when to visit the
studio. There will be instruction, models, free-play time and workshops
during the month.

Here is are my questions:
How should I charge for this? A monthly fee? An hourly fee? Can
anyone offer any ideas?
I want to decorate our studio with visual clues for a wonderful
and creative environment. I welcome some ideas here too.
And lastly, I need to purchase equipment and materials.

I know I am asking alot on this e-mail. However, I am convinced most of you
have much of this in your classroom already. Could you share that? Such as,
how many wheels and ovens do you have?

Thanks for any thoughts and ideas!!!!
