Especially thanks to Alix Peshette, Ket Eakle, 'Leni, Maro, Eveyln
Sonnichser and Jill Pease (and if I forgot anyone, thanks to you also!!:))
I use Shorewood for almost everything and I had forgotten about the
Starry Night connection. I laminate and tape the background info on the
reverse of each print so that it's available for the teacher.
Actually, I need to thank all the Fall Harvest posters, as well!
I've done self-portraits and sun-flowers as topics for my 2 hour
presentations but today I tried "still lifes" with fruit and fall
vegetables (this was planned several weeks ago) and I was able to mention
and develop a teensy bit, the Fall Harvest theme. (Basically I was giving
an overview of DBAE.)
Atfter "scanning" 2 or 3 still-lifes the teachers had to choose
some fruits/veggies/nuts from a selection I had brought (I had a wide
variety) and then arrange these into a grouping and create a work of their
own devising.
We put our "teacher art" up on the cafeteria wall under the sign
"Guess Whooooo?" The kids at other schools get a big kick out of seeing
their teacher's work! (he he)
Anyway, thanks again!!! This group certainly has been a help to me
I hope I'm able to contribute in return!!!
