In response to this question, I think the highest of high art is the type of
art that hits you in such a way that your body physically responsed to it....

For example,
In speaking with a friend who is an oboeist for a major symphony, she said
that there were times when playing, when everything "clicked" and tears came
to her eyes.

I also had a similar response to a live performance of Pavarotti a few years
ago. My breath was literally taken away and tears came to my eyes.

That's my two cents regarding the highest of High Art.
