RE: Art or Science?

I feel that science, math, music, language, history, culture, religion,
cuisine, literature, architecture, emotion... and I guess everything else,
are all intertwined with art, and sometimes even indistinguishable from it.

While I try to base every lesson on one or more of the elements or
principles of art, I also attempt to connect the lesson to something else
in the real world that the student knows or is learning about. It helps
the student transfer their knowledge and make good use of it later.

However, sometimes I just let them make something without offering any
connections, and then it seems they frequently do their own connecting!

I've been enjoying the contrasting opinions recently. Keep it up!!!!
