Always rethinking -
My 7th graders will be beginning their mask projects soon. We used to use
plaster gauze - but they had a hard time breaking away from the oval. Then
I tried wood, great shapes - but too flat. Believe it or not we have been
using paper mache (I've never really used it in the classroom before, some
bad memories from my school years?) While
the first two ate up a good portion of budget, paper mache is nothing and so
we can splurge on the things we add (beads, shells, rafia, screws,
washers,...) I have given them a rubric before, but I'm open to
suggestions on things that I could/should be looking for. Would love to
have some feedback.
I am the only art teacher in our one school district. This listserv has
been very valuable to me - thanks -
