Kaliedoscopes

Fourth grade art students will soon begin working with radial design to
create 2D kaliedoscopes. The sixth grade students will soon begin work on
3D kaliedoscopes. I am making connections to stain glass, rose
windows,spanish tilework, arabian tile work,and Escher.

Any suggestions for additional sources?

Is there a book out there on the history of the kaliedoscope? Not a how to
book but origins, uses, etc.?
