I'm sorry but I can't see how this could effect anyones life.
This book just takes the worst case scenarios involving adolecent
girls and says its the norm for teenage girls. I have many friends
in the adolecent age and they almost all think this bbook is
overreactionary and a little annoying. It was my english teacher who
made me read this book and I am still not glad she did. I think
it was a complete waste of my time. I have also noticed that Mary Pipher
tends to twist facts and statements quite a lot. She also gives
no solutions to the problems she thinks we need to urgently solve.

Note: This is just my opinion, there are probably some people, who
enjoy this book.
