The exhibition contains many images of Moroles' art work and the
artist at work in his art factory. We also have an excellent
interview of Moroles done by Dr. Mc Carter and a complete DBAE lesson
unit, called Common Threads, developed by Nancy Walkup, comparing
Moroles' work with a Navajo weaving.
Nancy and Bill are currently available on this listserv to moderate a
discussion about teaching Moroles in the classroom and about how they
set up their collaboration with Moroles. They invite you to
try some of the activities in the Common Threads lesson unit and
share your results with everyone.
The artist Jesus Moroles will also be available on ArtsEdNet Talk
from
October 14th through November 1st to answer any questions you may
have for him. (FYI, Moroles does not yet have an e-mail account so
we will be faxing your questions to him and he will fax back his
answers which we will post.)
We have two additional programs scheduled this fall. Check the Fall
Calendar on ArtsEdNet for information on these.
I hope you enjoy the Moroles exhibit on ArtsEdNet and join the
discussion.
Warm Regards,
Candy
