I teach elementary--grades K-2, have close to 600 students, and have a
budget of $3000.00. I find that quite adequate.I can't believe $300.00.- ..I
guess I must be really fortunate. I also get alot of donations of stuff to
use, as well (I have never had to order yarn, for example, because I always
get donations of that kind of thing from parents, as well as stuff for junk
sculptures, etc...I always suggest various items in my art letter to
parents, and get all sorts of treasures. but I have plenty of funds for the
basics.) Our PTO also funds me to teach art to our 1/2 day kdgn. students
twice a month--they otherwise have no specialists. We have 3 other teachers
in our district, but I do not know what their budgets are.
