The best faux stained glass project I ever did was to have students cut out
the "leading" out of black mat board. They painted the edges black, then
used colored acetate with colored tissue paper beneath in varying layers to
create different colors. They were gorgeous, and they also weren't a
"quickie" project due to the time it took to properly cut out the mat board
& to layer the colors.
