Hello All,
I want to start a Shading Unit with my 8th Graders and I wasn't sure what
would be a good project for them to work on for a while.
I found some pictures on a website (without lesson or Grade on it) that
seemed very interesting. Creating a still life drawing using charcoal and pencil
and then transforming it into a landscape by adding in people or animals and a
seasonal background. My 8th graders have never had art before and jsut
finished successfully completing a one-point perspective drawing which was great!
But I want to keep their focus and attention, so I dont want to give them
something to easy or boring but challenging enough.
Any suggestions or concerns? Has anyone done this before in their classes?
