Another idea i had in mind for 8th graders would be to have them listen to a
series of instructions based on what they have to draw. They will build up a
composition using the things I tell them to draw such as "draw a tiny tiny
circle" followed by "draw a squiggley sqaure" "draw the number 8 a few times"
etc, and when they have covered the entire paper with designs and lines, they
will shade in the "solid" floating shapes. Some will be shaded and some will
just be creative line work.
Any suggestions? it still doesn't sit right in my head....
