In my district we have a 'wish list' that we turn in
to the administration. Sometimes we get new things
from there and they don't affect our individual
budgets. Also in my district there are several
organizations that have helped. My kiln and two wheels
were purchased last year by the J.O.M. program. We
also have a grant writer on staff and your state's art
council may be of help also. There's money out there.
You just have to find it and be willing to wade
through all the paperwork to get it.

Teaching art in Tornado Alley is great as long
as you remember a REALLY big paperweight...
