I agree with Diane....cover tables, students keep paper towels at the table and "clean" pastels as they work, along with scrap paper to test, etc. I keep them in containers for table groups of four. We also use the extender sticks by Sakura (they make the Cray-pas brand and are the ONLY oil pastels I'll buy!!)
