[teacherartexchange] gridding? how to teach to 5th graders?

I know that gridding has been discussd on these pages but I cannot find
anything in the archives or in my copied documents.

Our 5th grade science program will be teaching gridding and scale on
landforms. I would like to teach the concept in an easy way with perhaps a
cartoon to be enlarged in approximately 5 minutes. Then I'd like to give them a
mystery piece of a painting which they will draw larger.

Ideas? Help? :( Jeannie in PA, k - 5
