Alix, Do they have the "Yeartech" program installed on the computer? It works hand in hand with pagemaker. This is how I do my yearbook..and how they need to do it with Jostens. It will take a few hours of fooling around with it, but it isn't too difficult. The "using yeartech" guide that comes with the Jostens yearbook kit is very step-by-step and easy to follow. Don't even worry about finding a pagemaker tutorial. To save time, USE THE TEMPLATE PAGES they have provided in the template book. It's really just a matter of typing in the template number and it all is ready to go. Then you just insert the pictures and text. Also, in the "yeartech" guidebook is a phone number for "tech support". CALL THEM WITH ANY QUESTIONS. Even questions you think are too simple. I called them SO much last year!! They will answer your questions very quickly and get you going. After my first call to them, I called the tech support line any time I spent more than a few minutes searching for
an answer in the book. They are very friendly and they have all the answers! Their yearbook representative from Jostens should be able to come help them get started. My rep. was so helpful and taught me the basics of the program in about a half hour. I'm surprised there was a problem with the files, because Josten's has been so accomodating to me. If you or the yearbook advisors have any questions or want to talk to me further, email me at school and I can respond quickly (and I will have the program in front of me) Good luck!!

I have two teachers who are in charge of the yearbook this year. It is a
first year assignment for both of them. Jostens has fallen through because
we can't download the .exe files from the Josten website. So, these poor
souls need to learn how to do the yearbook on Pagemaker in a hurry. I am
not familiar with Pagemaker, so it's a case of the blind leading the blind.

Anyone who has pagemaker tutorials aimed at middle school students who would
like to share these resources will be up for immediate sainthood!!

Many thanks in advance!
