Re: art club

I inheirted my art club, but have made changes in how things work. It is a
community service/art enrichment program for 5th graders. The kids do things
like, paint murals for concerts, work on parade float for our UN Day Parade,
now they are working on center pieces for a PTA fund raiser and will be
decorating gingerbread houses to donate for a junior league fundraiser. That kind of
stuff mostly takes us up through December. Then in Jan/Feb, they work on
their own stuff, whatever they are interested in (within reason) and they get to
have an extra piece in the art show. Something they have created during Art
Club. They get to spend the spring doing their own thing and then in May, work
on the last mural for the fifth grade concert.

I hope that helps. We meet every Tuesday (except the last Tuesday of the
month as I have a meeting on that day) or if I have to be out of town or
something. There is no charge and I do not get compensated for it.

Good Luck!
