I teach in private school. Years ago, (about 27) the teacher who worked
LS before me went to the principal in tears over her budget and schedule
because she was so frustrated with not being able to do with them what
she envisioned given the budget and time restraints. Fortunately, this
administrator saw her tears as passion rather than something
unprofessional. He adjusted her schedule to be equal to the other
teachers, and he found a way to properly budget the art department. She
did this two years before I arrived on the scene. In the first year I
was hired, I had a ridiculous schedule too. I look back on that time
