JUST THIS YEAR, I found a cell phone that gets a signal in my building. The
school gave us these neet ID pouches instead of lanyards, and my phone fits
right in it. Look up the numbers of your worst kids, and as soon as they step
over the line, whip out your phone and call home. I love waching their
bravado melt away (sadistic, huh?) Hey, it works!
Good luck--and remember, every seven or so years we see a crop failure.

One other thing I want to share. I am team leader for our Student Assistance
program, and went to a training where some young people (two of whom turned
out to be former students of mine) told their stories of recovery from drugs,
prostitution, etc. Every one of hese kids said, " I felt like trash." Now I
find myself looking at every child, wondering if they feel like trash, and
wondering what I can do so they don't.
Every kid who drove me crazy turned out to have MAJOR life issues. So
please don't think it is YOU.
Good luck
