National Boards? Hmmmmmm....Yes, IT is a commitment and one that DOES TAKE
TIME and you must set aside time each week to work a little on the writing.
Something I did not do initially and wished I had- I passed in November 2002.
First, I organized what I was going to do first. I did the Video Tapes first,
because that was the entries I feared most. MY husband came in with our video
camera and filmed both in one take (lucky) One entry represents you teaching an
art process, showing introduction through students working on the production
process. (This tape also included a short pan of my room, including all the
"info" NB wanted-table setup, space, computer, safety issues, etc.) The other entry
demonstrates children responding to artwork and is more baout what they are
seeing and learning than what you are doing. You are the facilitator, but the
camera was mostly on the kids and the artwork. Made great scores on these two
FEARED entries (3.0 and 3.5 respectively) Any questions? I would love to help
who ever I can and in whatever way. Here's GOOD LUCK to all who are awaiting the
results! There are no great mysteries and secrets to this - IT IS A PROCESS.
