After School Online (ASO) is a forum for educators. The scheduled
events, designed for professional development, are open to everyone in
the TAPPED IN community and all guests. All Calendar events will be
held in the TI After School Online (ASO) room unless otherwise noted in
the description. Featured Passageways in TI2 Reception has a link to the
ASO. As always, please login to Tapped In (http://ti2.sri.com) 10
minutes before the ASO event is scheduled to begin to allow us to help
you get where you need to be. Click on the URL below each event to read
descriptions of the individual topics.

ESL/EFL/ELL teachers have lots of resources with Webheads on Saturday
and Sunday. David LeBlanc is the guest speaker for the EuroLang topic,
Creating a Virtual Classroom. Tuesdays events include Bill Hilton Jr's
Nuts About Nature and Pam Berger's WebTools which looks at the topic of
plagiarism. Scary Stories is the topic of Donna Hendry's Language Arts
Forum on Wednesday. Wednesday also includes Lesley Farmer's Targeting
Librarians discussing Reference Resources for Teens - just in time for
Teen Read Week. A special event with John Raymond, director of
Technology-in-Education Laboratory (TIELab), on Wednesday is Doing
History with Primary Sources & Technology. On Thursday join Leni Donlan
of the Library of Congress Learning Page for a discussion on teaching
about Immigration. Amy Hill from The Silence Speaks is a guest for the
Alternative/Correctional Ed Forum and Kevan Nitzberg, leads a tour of
the many features of Arts Connected that can be used to integrate the
arts across the curriculum. Tours of the many new features of Tapped In
are scheduled for a variety of time zones on most Tuesdays and Saturdays.
