I crashed and burned trying to use sculpey. I realized it was too expensive
and rolling neon fall colors through a pasta machine sounded good but looked
garrish. So I quickly resorted to the Omya plastic rock clay, they didn't
seem to mind, and they worked beautifully. We painted them with copper mixed
with the fall colors and then I coated them with mod poge. I was a bit
worried that the kids had rolled them out too thin but this stuff is STRONG! One
girl got a hole in her leaf near the end and I said "Leave it! it looks so
real"
I wish I had a scanner to post these. grades 1-6 loved them.
