This week we had a workshop on Standards. We had Linda Yaven from CaliFornia
to talk about critiquing and grading. You list your standards and you tell 3
positives before you say one improvement idea. You can give as many as 4
grades for the work of art. It all boils down to if they meet the standards but
is it a good piece of art but didn't meet the standards. The one thing
positive is to get the student to talk about art using art words. You can use self
critiquing or journals to write about their art.
