Re: Peter Reynolds-author of "The Dot," Jaune Quick-To-See Smith and Rembrandt

He's an illustrator of children's books and now writes them, too. He makes short videos at his Fablevision company in Waltham. I have one called "The Blue Shoe." All his stories have a moral, and are sort of fables. He calls them teaching stories. He's very glib with marker and brush and drew pictures for the children while telling about his life as an artist and teacher. We had an all school gathering, where he presented and then helped hand out certificates. After the program, he came to the art room where I had a fourth grade class and talked about making art, being creative and artistic, and basically following your star. His first fame was for illustrating the Judy Moody books, about a fascinating little girl.
