Chris's play is called "Moonbirds". It is at Personal Space
Theatrics. Look at their website. He wrote this about 8 years ago and
had it developed in Chicago. It's really kind of eerie given present
day circumstances with the world. It takes place in a 3rd world middle
eastern desert country after a war and involves two census takers (one
is French, the other is Italian) looking for people to count. It's
quirky and even funny now and then, overall it's pretty esoteric.
Have you ever been to a play done by these people? They had some other
play scheduled and dropped it when Chris submitted his play. An english
speaking theater in Belgium is doing it too, and there is a theater in
Milwaukee that is considering it. We are anxious to see what PST has
done with it. And can't wait to visit NY again. We've not seen ground
zero before. I am sure we'll work that in. Hope to see you there!
Many of our friends and some of Chris's writing students are making the
trip, too. Even some of my former students will be there.
