Re: A question for the elementary art teachers out there

I teach grades 2,3,5 and one section of 6th grade in a private school.
I teach a total of 19 periods a week during three quarters of the year,
and 23 classes a week during one quarter of the year. Our K, 1, 2
classes have art twice a week for a total of 90 minutes. Our
3rd,4th,5th see students once a week for 90 minutes (double period). My
6th grade kids have art 4 days a week for one quarter in a rotation wih
dance, drama,and music. I teach 192 kids this year. I teach 4 periods
on Monday, 6 periods Tuesday, 6 periods Wednesday, 4 periods Thursday,
and 2 periods Friday. During the one quarter of the year that I teach
sixth grade, I teach 4 extra periods a week M-Th. I teach grades 2,3,5,
and 6 (only ono section of 6th.) I read to kids at lunch (lunch bunch)
two days a week. I teach photography as actiivity on Friday, I have
carpool duty once a week all year. I serve as a faculty representative
for the school's annual fund. I do the LS WEB page, and I am one of
two faculty curriculum advisors for our school's parent docent art
appreciation program. I also help with theater productions
