Here is something you will find funny....(NOT!) In my district we are
re-writing our art curriculum. Our curriculum must include objects such as "Student
enjoys time in art class" "Student uses skills learned in art class to make
art during free time". "Student shares and discusses art made during his/her
free time".

The problem is that ..of course we want students to like art and make art in
their free time, but how do we assess that and...WHY should the art teacher in
school be accountable for how a student spends his/her free time outside of
school!!!

Total craziness!!! The only thing that keeps me from really going on a
bender...is they made ALL disciplines add affective objectives when re-writing
their curricula these past 3 years! YES....there is an objective in the math
curriculum that states, "Student enjoys time spent doing mathmatics lessons".

go figure!!!
