Very nice Andy! We do something similar with art 2 students at the high
school level. They make a contour line drawing of a glass-still life
including reflections. They then transfer the drawing 4 times (paper is
divided into quarters). Each section is then painted according to one of the
following color schemes: primary, secondary, analogous and split
complementary -in watercolor. This is very challenging for this age group so
you can see why I am extremely impressed with your students final pieces.
Did you pre or post test the kids after the project? Just wondering on the
8th graders comprehension. My students struggle with it (but they are just
lazy).
