strangely enough, i just saw a pastel box (one of my students) and it showed
a drawing that had been colored in and then inked over and then scratched in
a pattern almost like dragging a comb across it. that might be neat. the
color was done in oil pastels and the pattern was repetitive line going at
different angles.
