I've shared this before, but when I first moved to El Paso, TX I had a group of middle school students who only spoke Spanish. I asked a student how to tell another student to sit down and do a drawing of his hand. He told me. I went to the boy and dutifully repeated carefully what the boy had told me to say. The whole class's mouth dropped open and a little girl said, "Miss, dont say that!!!" I had told the boy to go sit down and draw his penis.
