Any body out there read Teaching Meaning in Art Making by Sydney R. Walker?
  I can see "the big idea" at the middle/high school and college levels but
am having a really hard time connecting it with my elementary students. Any
feelings on the subject are welcomed. I reading it for a class and have to
write a paper on it...I hope I'm not already brain dead after the first 6
weeks of school. LOL
