Some of my fifth graders try to whine if they don't earn their art dollar
that day in class.. They save those to buy "stuff" once a month. When a
student breaks the rules and doesn't get the art dollar, they usually come up
to me and tell me. I just look at them and say that I know they didn't get
their dollar and to think about why. That usually shuts them up because they
know their behavior stunk and they don't deserve their dollar. Janet
