I have 30 heads drying on my windowsill at school. Some are molding a bit. I didn't know about dipping them in anything we just carved them. Some...seems like the red delicious...seemed not to dry as well as others. Most are leathery and shrunken now...we are putting them on plaster craft bodies and making them into old artists.
