Here in NJ starting ranges from 35,000 to 42,000..Of course
that is not necessarily the 'rule'...there are those
districts that give less. However, the 'rule' is you must
have a teaching certificate to teach in the public
schools...We do have an artists' in residence program, but
that program works on a grant system of some sort.
