thank you all for the wonderful words and the encouragement. i plan to step
(baby steps) back into posting instead of just reading as i have done for
the last year or two.

Christime -
try this site. I took one of my high school classes to a workshop with James
Coe. He is awesome. We also found a woman who locally has a bird "rescue
mission" and she brought us a tamed owl and hawk to draw with his guidance.
My students were VERY impressed. He talks about his science - art career
link too.
