Is there a ring leader or two students, who instigate the misbehavior? I
have an art 2 class in which a student who has been in jail, an alcoholic
and drug addict, who is on a special class/ special ed for extremely
disabled students, who is a pied piper and he is a problem unto himself. I
am waiting to find him drunk in class to get his P.O. to kick him out but he
has eluded me. If I get rid of him the class is very managable. With him in
class, it is chaos, or so I think because I like on task students and they
all think he is soooooo cool and it makes me sick.

Look for the ones who are the leaders and get rid of them if not for a day
maybe forever and you might get them (the class) back. I know I am trying,
and I have many teachers, counselors, and parents who want to help me rid my
class of this student.
