I would be interested in sharing any and all ideas involving PhotoShop,
Illustrator, Freehand, QuarkXpress, Premiere, Go Live, Flash, Fireworks,
Dreamweaver, Adobe After Effects....I think that is all of them. I teach at a
charter school of technology for high school students. My lab is equipped
with both PCs and Mac G-4s, a Smart Board, digital cameras. etc.... We are
very well funded and I can get just about anything I want for my program. I
know how blessed I am and thank God everyday. Oh, I also will have Studio Max
on 5 of the PCs. I teach advanced graphic design to 11 seniors and will have
the same group of students for the entire school year. Their class period is
1hour and 50 minutes, every day. These students come to me already proficient
in programing, writing HTML, video editing and web sites. Even though my
degree is in Graphic Design, and I practiced as a freelancer, these kids keep
me on my toes! I am desperate for project ideas that will challenge these
bright kids, especially with what I call "real-world" projects. We just
finished designing menus, Identity Packages, logo, using Freehand and Flash
and are now creating a web-site for their fictional restaurant, using
Dreamweaver. I did not intend to be so lengthy. I am a first year teacher,
K-12 art.
Thank you for any and all thoughts and ideas.
