I think of Claus Oldenberg immediately although he did not make
portraits...but huge soft sculptures of food and kitchen implements...There
is a photographer (perhaps Weston) I will look at work tomorrow and see if
he is who I am thinking of (I am the curator of the University of Memphis
Visual Resource Center...I may also ask our modern teacher..he may have some
idea as well...
