I'm glad I'm not the only one who can't do origami. Too mathimatical for me.
I can do simple stuff, but after 5 steps, I'm lost!
I did crayon batik with my first graders and they turned out beautiful. Make
sure they color REALLY hard. It's important to lay on the wax. Crumple and
wet the paper making lots of cracks. I painted thinned black tempera paint
and then allowed to dry. Some people iron them flat, but I found that , it
took out the brillance of the crayon colors. Also, the kids drew on white
construction paper. I found that watercolor paper does not work well, and ink
also does not work well on the construction paper. Janet
