Summary of the October 4 planning meeting for the Blanket the World with
Peace Project
Participants:
Anna Martin, Kevan Nitzberg, Janice Keenan, Rob Morris, BJ Berquist,
Geetha Narayanan, Debbie Brittenham
After introductions, Kevan's cover letter for funding proposal sources
was reviewed. There was discussion of a web-based site rather than
mailing information packets to interested participants. Funding will be
needed to support this website.
Kevan presented an extensive list of grant sources and Jan also
contributed to the list. Anna suggested pursuing collaboration with
Artsonia (www.artsonia.com). Artsonia is funded by Dick Blick and
Sanford; they exhibit student electronic art with various themes and
have a peace exhibit. Costs and investment of time will be a major
consideration in the choice of collaboration vs. managing our own site.
Kevan and Jan are contacting grant sources. Anna is working on
development of the website, and BJ is doing publicity. Geetha is in
India and will contribute to the international involvement of the Peace
Project.
