What grade level? The first thought that comes to mind is using large
scale graph paper, then have them draw geometric shapes (squares,
triangles, rectangles) using a symmetrical arrangement. The shapes can be
colored in, again using symmetry. If the students finish one they could do
another.

Just a thought.
