Below is a behavior report I use in my classroom. The student gets a first
warning...name on board. If he continues to disrupt, I put a check next to
his name and I fill out this report below which goes to his teacher, for a
consequence. The next time(even next week!) this kid disrupts again, too
bad! The same note goes home for a parent signature. This no-nonsense
approach has worked wonders.
Most important is the expectation that every kid will adhere to your
classroom rules. They pick up your attitude just as easily as they can pick
up a friends negative attitude. I tell them that this is MY classroom. They
are on MY turf. I run my class rules and if they cannot remember that, then
they can write my rules 5 times until they know them "by heart". It works.
