Jean --
I have our 4th graders study form by drawing round white objects -- =
currently I borrow softballs from the Phys. ed. department. I set the =
balls on pieces of 9 x 12 black paper in front of them so they can =
squint to see the shadows on the ball and also the shadows on the black =
paper. I do admit to having wonderful directional lighting that I can =
turn on instead of using the regular lights (which would cast 24 =
shadows!). =20

Subject: looking for drawing lesson idea using charcoal pencil for =
elementary

I work with grades 2-5 and I'm looking for drawing lesson idea using =
charcoal pencil but not vine because most of our classrooms have no =
water and the kids destroy the bathrooms when cleaning charcoal off! =
Thanks!
