My opinion...CLAY and HANDBUILDING... Start small...nature of clay,
demonstration, small exploration with HANDS ON as soon as possible. Lure
them in with this medium...it works every time! I don't believe in "dumbing
down" (they will not respond) but .............."EXPECT THE MOST" and show
them initial respect for what THEY THINK is an advanced medium but, of
course, isn't.
